Movie theater chain AMC theaters in the United States have officially approved payment on the popular meme-based cryptocurrency, Dogecoin. The transaction will be provided by Bitcoin, a Georgia and US based Bitcoin payment service provider. People can buy AMC gift cards for a maximum of $ 200 (approximately Rs. 14,970). Since these gift cards are valid for use in other stores as well, this development will indirectly lead Dogecoin to many businesses. Cryptocurrency is cheaper and allows more people to buy and use gift cards.

Adam Aaron, CEO of AMC Theaters, announced the news on Twitter on Wednesday, October 6, and since then, the value of Tojcain has risen 5.59 percent. The Elon Musk Support Crypto is currently trading at $ 0.26 (approximately Rs. 17).

After tweeting asking him to start accepting Dogecoin payments, this post has excited Dogecoin supporters. AMC allows customers to purchase movie tickets through a number of cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum and Litecoin.

In September, Aaron posted a poll on Twitter asking his 186,000 followers to help him make a decision on Tok Coin payments.

At the time, the majority of voters (68 percent) not only voted in favor of Tok Coin, but the post also caught the attention of Tesla CEO Elon Musk. Responding to a Twitter comment, Musk said Dogecoin should reduce handling fees to make daily purchases “possible” for the average consumer.

In some countries crypto-payments have started fast. In Switzerland, for example, cryptocurrency payments are now accepted by more than 85,000 merchants.

On April 21, WeWork announced that the popular Office Sharing launch would begin paying in selected cryptocurrencies.

Nasscom, an Indian trading body, has recently predicted that the crypto technology sector will expand globally within the next five years. Its latest report estimates that the global crypto technology market will reach $ 2.3 billion (approximately Rs. 17,087 crore) by 2026.
