Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto San Andreas — a trilogy of popular action-adventure role-flaming games — are being redesigned, confirming publisher Rockstar Games earlier rumors. The new games titled Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition will be available later this year. Based on the update, the redesigned versions of the traditional GTA titles are said to feature graphical enhancements and modern game enhancements, while maintaining the original look and feel.
Rockstar Games has announced that Grand Theft Auto III will be available on Grand Theft Auto Vice City and Grand Theft Auto in San Andreas – Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition – on PS5, PS4. Rockstar Games Launcher on Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. It will come to iOS and Android in the first half of 2022.
The exact release date of the updates has not yet been released. As a result of the new launch, Rockstar Games will begin removing current versions of the classic GDA titles from digital retailers starting next week. Current players who have already purchased the titles, however, can download and play them on their respective consoles.
The release of the revamped editions coincides with the anniversary of Grand Theft Auto III, which has been around for the past 20 years – since October 2001. Rockstar Games is also bringing a special gear parade to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its glorious title. Gear will be available to collect at GTA Online this fall.
GDA will offer an enhanced online experience for PS5 and Xbox Series X / S users in March next year.
