West Indies legend Brian Lara thinks the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) should not consider replacing Shubman Gill anytime soon. According to iconic Southpaw, Gill only has one match to get a big score. Speaking to Star Sports’ Game Plan, Laura said, “Kill is a bit unlucky. If you bat him, he’s in some form. I believe he is a match away from a big score. He is doing well with Iyer (Venkatesh) and I hope they can both take KKR to new heights. Now changing the kill is not something KKR should consider.
Laura also discussed the chances of the Punjab Kings (PPKS) winning their matches over the weekend and their team’s potential. “Even though they are not playing the best cricket at the moment, I think their team is capable. Their batting has always been their strength, it has come in very low. Nicholas Pooran and Chris Gayle have not played properly. Their captain KL Rahul has not been in good condition since the start. One thing that stayed was where they recorded big totals and tried to defend it but if they didn’t put big runs on the board they would be very hard on the bowling attack they have.
“Ravi Bishnoi is doing well, you know Mohammed Shami is a professional, they expect it from him. Their batting should be a click and if they click they give them that little chance. They offer themselves a great opportunity.
