It was recorded on the basis of a complaint lodged by Sumit Jaiswal, one of the BJP workers who had come to welcome Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya to the wrestling event.
The wrestling event was organized in Panveerpur, the home village of Union Home Minister Ajay Misra, whose son Monu Ashish was arrested on Saturday in connection with the death of four farmers.
A total of eight people were killed in the violence during protests on October 3 in the Dikonia area of the district.
The dead included two BJP workers, an SUV driver and a journalist. Jaiswal said journalist Raman Kashyap, car driver Hari Om and BJP workers Subham Misra and Shyam Sunder were killed by the protesters. However, the journalist’s parents accused him of being involved in a vehicle collision.
“The applicant was going to Kale Charan Chak with BJP workers and was in Mahindra Thar (UP 31 AS 1000). The driver of the vehicle, Hari Om, and my friend Subham Mishra were going to welcome the chief guest,” the FIR said. The driver Hari Om was injured and the car was parked on the roadside as bad elements hit the vehicle with bamboo sticks, bricks and stones, ”Jaiswal alleged.
After this, the protesters who took Hari Omai out of the car started attacking him with bamboo sticks and swords. We were stoned and tried to flee, during which the men grabbed my friend Subham Mishra and started beating him, ”Jaiswal alleged.
He said he had somehow run away from the place, otherwise, he too would have been “killed”.
He said he came to know about the killing of Hari Om and Subham Mishra through social media after the FIR that two “unidentified” BJP workers had died.
UP The government has set up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) for an impartial and transparent inquiry into the two FIRs, according to a report submitted to the Supreme Court.
So far, three accused in the first FIR, including Union Minister’s son Ashish Misra, have been arrested, officials said.
