National award winning choreographer K Sivasankar passed away on Sunday at the age of 72 due to complications related to Govt-19. The Telugu dance director passed away in Hyderabad yesterday, according to hospital sources, where he was being treated for the corona virus. Sivashankar’s eldest son also tested positive for Kovit-19 and is receiving treatment for a viral infection. After Sivashankar’s demise, many in the film industry mourned him on social media. Actor-philanthropist Sonu Sood, who sponsored Sivashankar’s family to pay for the choreographer’s expensive medical treatment for Kovit-19 last week, tweeted: “I was heartbroken over the demise of Sivashankar Masterji. I will do it, Masterji. May the Almighty God give the family the strength to bear this loss. Cinema will always miss you sir. “
