Netflix is adding a ‘Play Something’ feature to its Android processor

Netflix has confirmed that its ‘Play Something’ feature is now available to all Netflix users on Android. The video streaming service began testing this feature on select devices on Android devices earlier this year. This feature allows users to discover new content based on what they have seen before.

The new feature of Netflix is that the company owns the ‘shuffle’ functionality provided by many streaming services. It should be noted that the Play Something feature has been on the desktop for some time now and now Android users will have access to it.

According to a report On the edge, iOS users will not get the feature immediately. Fortunately, Netflix has announced that it will begin testing Play Something on iOS in the future. This means you have to wait until next year to enjoy the iPhone and iPad feature.

In addition, Netflix has introduced another feature called ‘Fast Laughs’. This is a tick-like feature for stage movies and TV series. Released on iOS in March, it offers a dedicated tab showing footage of its popular comedy series, movies and stand-up specials.

This feature is now being launched in select markets including Australia, Canada, Ireland, India, Malaysia, Philippines, USA and UK.

Netflix has also confirmed that it will launch its long-awaited ‘Downloads for You’ tool on iOS next month. Currently, the option to download movies and TV shows to watch offline is only available on Android devices based on the viewing history.
