On Friday evening a saloon was issued to the organizers under Section 188 (violation of order duly declared by the public servant) of the IPC at Ramlila Maidan.

Our team stopped at the Red Fort to see the security arrangements and DTMA guidelines. During the test, our staff found that a few guests did not follow the social space and did not wear masks. A saloon was issued and the organizers were told to control the situation, ”the official said

The matter was reported to the Kotwali police station and police said they would tighten security arrangements at Ramlila and take further legal action to avoid such cases.

A member of the Lou Kush Ramlila Committee said, “Police told us that many guests did not wear masks. Ramlila will last till October 16 and we do not want the public to risk their health. All of our volunteers check the masks. We will continue to do that. Some may violate these rules. We already have seats in the distance and will cooperate with the police.
