The Pimpri-Chinchwad Corporation (PCMC) has allowed colleges to resume regular physical classes from October 12 in line with the decisions taken during the Govt-19 review meeting chaired by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Friday. Management said all hotels in the industrial city will remain open until 11 p.m.
The colleges may start functioning from Tuesday, Municipal Commissioner Rajesh Patil said in his order. “However, they need to make sure that all students, teaching and non-teaching staff have taken the Govt vaccine in two doses,” he said.
Training institutes and training classes can operate at 50 per cent efficiency, in this order, teachers and others have taken two shots of the vaccine.
The civic body has decided to allow hotels, restaurants, bars and food courts to remain open at 50 percent capacity until 11 p.m. Home delivery services are allowed on all days of the week until 11pm.
All private and public offices can operate at 100 per cent efficiency by adhering to Govt rules.
