Today’s petrol and diesel prices: Gasoline prices hit a new high on Monday, October 11, raising prices for the seventh day in a row. In the national capital, petrol prices have gone up by Rs. 104 because they cost Rs. 104.14 to Rs. 104.44 and diesel price was hiked by 35 paise from Rs. 92.82 to Rs. 93.17. Indian Oil Corporation.
In Mumbai, petrol price was hiked by 29 paise to Rs 110.41 per liter and diesel by 37 paise to Rs 101.03 per liter. Of the four metro cities, Mumbai has the highest fuel prices, according to the state-run oil refinery. Fuel rates vary across states due to value added tax or VAT. State-owned oil refineries such as Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum revise daily fuel tariffs taking into account crude oil prices and rupee-dollar exchange rates in the international market. Any change in petrol and diesel prices will come into effect from 6 a.m. daily.
Globally, Brent was up 25 cents at $ 82.64 and US crude was up 41 cents at $ 79.76 a barrel.
