The Rajasthan Royals are without the star English trio of Joffre Archer, Ben Stokes and Jose Butler in the second leg of the IPL 2021 season, but Liam Livingston, who makes his debut on Tuesday against the Punjab Kings, is a worthy replacement for them.
Livingston, a batting all-rounder who has been enjoying the best season of his career so far this year, is a devastating batsman who has 350 overall sixes in the formats. The Rajasthan Royals bought him for Rs 75 lakh in the 2021 auction, but he did not get the game in the first half of the season.
However, Livingstone is in the shape of his life, calling up the England squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup. One hundred is the biggest sixer in 2021, with 27 sixes during the tournament, including ten in a match. He is also the leading run scorer in matches (348).
England’s batting has been bad for a while. It is time for a change. No one can be worse! Cow

The pitches were not ‘low and slow’ in the first two matches of the resumption, with the Seamers finding bounce and swing instead, which were conditions conducive to Livingstone’s power-hitting, he calls his ‘super strong’.
The Royals, who have won three of seven games and are now sitting in fifth place, will hope that Livingstone’s explosive debut will give them a spark to give them a knockout punch in matches they sometimes do not have earlier this year.
