The number of players who want to play Wrexham AFC in the football manager computer game has increased since the club’s Hollywood acquisition.
The profile of the National League club has skyrocketed since the acquisition of actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McLenny in February.
More than 5,000 people are currently playing Cam Rexham since its latest version was released last month – about 200% up.
“This is far higher than all we have had in the past,” said Luke Warrington, the game’s makers at Sports Interactive.
Gamer and Rexham fan Tim added: “Managing Rexham is more exciting now than it was 20 years ago.”
Nick Hartley of the BBC News also found out.
