In order to promote religious tourism in the country, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation plans to gradually resume domestic tourism during the festive season with “Sri Ramayana Yatra train journeys” and in the post-epidemic period.

IRCTC has launched Sri Ramayana Yatra with Deluxe AC Tour Train to promote religious tourism. The tour will start from Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station on November 7, 2021 and will include visits to all the important places associated with the life of Sri Ram.

The IRCTC has said it plans train travel packages using budget and premium segment tourists to better understand the need for its pilgrimage using special tourist trains and deluxe tourist trains.

The first departure from New Delhi on November 7 on the Ramayana circuit will be followed by four more departures in the next four months, the statement said.

To cater to the needs of the pilgrimage tourism market in South India, IRCTC will operate the Sri Ramayana Yatra on a budget-class train with Madurai-former sleeper class coaches. This train will leave Madurai at Dindigul, Tiruchirappalli, Karur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Chennai Central, Renigunta, and Kadapa at Hampi, Nashik, Chitrakoot, Prayagaraj and Varanasi and return to Madurai.

12 nights / 13 days Sri Ramayana Yatra will start from Madurai on November 16.

For tourists from the budget section of North India, IRCTC will run the Sri Ramayana Yatra with special tourist trains on the former Ganganagar Yatra.

16 nights / 17 days Sri Ramayana Yatra will start from November 25 from Sri Ganganagar.

This train will start boarding and de-boarding from Sri Ganganagar to Bohar-Malout, Badinda, Barnala, Patiala, Rajpura, Ambala Kant, Kurukshetra, Colonel, Panipat, Delhi Cont., Gurgaon, Rewari, Alwar, Jaipur, Agra. Fort, Itawa and Kanpur covering Ayodhya, Sitamarhi, Janakpur, Varanasi, Prayagraj and Chitrakoot, Nashik, Hampi and Rameswaram, Kanchipuram and return to Sri Ganganagar.

To cater to the demands of the religious tourism market in West and Central India, the IRCTC Sri Ram Bhat Yatra former Pune has included its pilgrimage special tourist train Sleeper Glass and AC3 tier coaches. The train will start from Pune with boarding and de-boarding points at Lonavala, Panvel, Kalyan, Nashik, Manmad and Saliscon. Jalgaon and Poosaval and finally return to Pune including Ayodhya, Janakpur, Varanasi, Sitamarhi, Prayagraj, Chitrakoot.

7 Nights / 8 Days Shri Ram Bath Yatra will start from former Pune on 27th November.

IRCTC offers Sri Ram Bhat Yatra starting from Sabarmati with its all-inclusive tourism package with a special tourist train for its pilgrimage. The train will start from Sabarmati at boarding and de-boarding points at Nadiad, Anand, Vadodara, Godara, Dahod, Ratlam, Nagta and Ujjain and reach Ayodhya, Janakpur, Varanasi, Sitamarhi, Prayagraj, Chitrakoot and finally Sabarmati.

7 nights / 8 days Shri Ram Pada Yatra will start from December 25 from Sabarmati.

IRCTC offers standard and convenient type of facilities in packages. The standard type package in sleeper class is Rs. 900 / – per person per day and taxes, AC 3-tire comfort type package price Rs. 1500 / – per day per passenger and taxes.

Besides, IRCTC is already operating the Sri Ramayana Yatra from New Delhi with a new air conditioned deluxe tourist train for premium segment tourists. The tour will begin on November 7 and end on November 23, 2021. The package has been very well received in the market and the train is already fully booked. IRCTC will soon launch more Sri Ramayana Yatra packages with deluxe trains soon, ”the statement said.

The company plans train packages that comply with all health protocols to ensure the safety of passengers in the midst of continuing epidemics.

The IRCTC has announced that it will operate several such trains in the future following the increase in demand for the Ramayana Circuit train travel package.
