The Chinese brand’s new line of smartphones, which includes the Vivo S12 series, Vivo S12 and Vivo S12 Pro models, is set to be officially released on December 22nd. Just days before its formal launch in its home country, Vivo has released a teaser video. Vivo S12 Pro reveals some of its specifications and design. The handset features two front-facing cameras with dual LED flash. Vivo’s upcoming S-Series smartphone is also confirmed to have a gold color variation.
Vivo, with its official Weibo account, has teased the upcoming Vivo S12 Pro smartphone in gold. As mentioned, there is a dual LED flash with dual selfie camera unit on the front of the handset. Vivo confirms that one of the front cameras is 50 megapixels. The handset has three rear cameras with a 108 megapixel main sensor.
Specifications for the Vivo S12 Pro have been leaked several times in the past along with pricing details. According to a recent leak, the Vivo S12 Pro smartphone with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is priced at CNY 3,499 (approximately Rs. 41,800).
The Vivo S12 Pro features a 6.5-inch Full-HD + OLED display with a 90Hz upgrade rate. This handset is expected to run on Android 12-based Origin OS Ocean UI. Under the hood, it is likely to carry the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset. The chipset is said to be paired with 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
The Vivo S12 Pro’s dual selfie camera system also features an 8-megapixel Hynix Hi846 ultravide lens. The triple rear camera unit includes an 8-megapixel Omnivision OV8856 Ultrawide camera and a 2-megapixel sensor. Also, the handset is packed with a 4,300mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging.
