A parade was held on Saturday evening at the `Hut of Remembrance ‘at the National Defense Academy (NDA) near Pune in memory of Group Captain Varun Singh, who was seriously injured earlier this week in an MI-plane crash. 17 helicopters carrying General Pipin Rawat and others.

All the key officials of the academy had come to pay their respects to Captain Singh who received the Surya Chakra, a former student of the 104th NDA Course, India Squadron.

He was hired as a fighter pilot in 2004 and has driven Jaguar and Tejas mainly during his flying career. He was also a pilot pilot and was assigned to the Defense Services Personnel College.
