New Delhi: TVS Motor Company on Tuesday announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership with Tata Power to develop an electric two-wheeler charging infrastructure. As part of the agreement, the two companies agreed to expand the operation of electric charging stations across India and to use solar energy technologies at TVS motor locations.
TVS said the deal will enable iQube Electric customers across India to access a wide range of charging networks through its Customer Connect App and Tata Power EZ Charging Processor.
The partnership aims to develop a conventional AC charging network and a DC fast charging network for electric two-wheelers. The automaker added that this will help promote EV adoption in the country among two-wheeler customers.
TVS further noted that expanding technologies in solar energy will play a key role in the transition to clean energy adoption.

TVS Motor’s partnership with Tata Power is in line with its commitment to expanding iCube Electric’s presence.
IQube is priced at Rs 1,00,777 in Delhi and Rs 1,10,506 in Bangalore. The electric scooter goes against the likes of Ether 450X and Bajaj Sedak.
The e-scooter comes with a 4.4 kW (6 bhp) electric motor and has a top speed of 78 kmph in ‘Sport’ mode. The battery can be fully charged in about 5 hours, and the maximum limit is 75 km on a single charge in ‘economy’ mode. In ‘Sport’ mode, the range is 55 km.
TVS iQube comes with Bluetooth enabled digital device console with SmartXonnect technology.
