The Xiaomi 12 Series has been confirmed to launch in China on December 28th. Prior to its launch, the teaser with the image of the two smartphones in the upcoming flagship series was shared by Xiaomi. The picture shows the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro designs. Separately, the Xiaomi 12 Pro was found on the Geekbench benchmarking website, indicating its key specifications. It is said to be powered by the recently announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.
Through the Weibo post, Xiaomi has shared the teaser for its upcoming Xiaomi 12 Series smartphones. The picture shows only the front of the smartphone and one side of each. The Xiaomi 12 is shown with a small display, with a power button and a volume rocker on the right back.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro, on the other hand, has a larger display and its left spine is empty. It is safe to assume that both smartphones will be fitted with identical frames and buttons. The selfie camera is centered on the hole-punch cutout. The top and bottom parts of both the smartphones are not visible.
At Geekbench, the Xiaomi 12 Pro scored 1,224 points and 3,823 points in single and multi-core tests, respectively. The Geekbench list shows that this smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC – already confirmed as a powerhouse on the Xiaomi 12 Pro. Also, the Geekbench list shows that 12GB of RAM will be available on the upcoming flagship smartphone. It is said to run Android 12 with MIUI 13 out-of-the-box.
Earlier this week, Xioami confirmed that the Xiaomi 12 series will be unveiled at a special launch event on December 28th. The Xiaomi 12 series includes Vanilla Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro, Xiaomi 12X and Xiaomi 12 Ultra.
